Trump just gave a shout out to Mike Hurst, who is the United States Attorney

Does his being "not on duty" matter? I'm not sure. Some participants in the thread have pointed that out.

Trump just gave a shout out to Mike Hurst, who is the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Mississippi.

I might have this wrong but don’t think a US Attorney should be showing up at a partisan political rally



Unless I'm reading this incorrectly, Mike Hurst, the US Attorney for the Southern District of Mississippi, has committed a violation of the Hatch Act
