"I called your mayor's office before I came to your city ... as a courtesy to let you know who I am and what I'm doing in your city. I was told I was welcome to your city and was assured I would have no trouble. But trouble is all I've got from your city."
Stevens said Springfield police issued him one ticket for a broken signal light and another for "camping" in his RV, which he has dubbed the "CannaBus."
While he was being ticketed, Stevens alleged he was unfairly treated by police.
Later, after police let him go, Stevens took his complaints to city offices. He was initially removed from a city government building by a security guard before he was allowed to speak to the city clerk about his tickets.
