Nicole Galloway is running for governor.

After months of hinting at a challenge to Republican Gov. Mike Parson, the Democratic State Auditor kicked off her campaign Monday with a video highlighting her corruption-fighting bona fides.

In it, she talks about uncovering $350 million in government waste as auditor and contributing to the filing of dozens of criminal charges against crooked officials on both sides of the aisle.

In one notable scene, she also accuses the governor of doing corporations' and lobbyists' bidding as silhouetted men exchange what looks like an envelope and a handshake.

Could Galloway win in red Missouri?

So it's official, she’s running. But now there’s another question to answer: assuming Parson announces he’s running next month as expected, what are her chances against an incumbent Republican in conservative Missouri?
