to think of a loved one or ourselves having to die all alone. to have to grieve them all alone.

i wrote my will, which i should have a long time ago. I've been talking about my last wishes should I die, or should I heaven forbid be sick enough to need a ventilator when there's someone else younger than me, whose children aren't grown, who needs the same machine. Last night my son and I discussed having a funeral for me on facebook live.

Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.

it seems morbid but can I really just leave a mess to my sons with no direction or instruction? Today I will probably also write a letter discussing what I want them to do when I die. A love letter if you will.

I love them so much!

I hope this whole conversation seems like so much melodrama in a few months, and we're all still here to laugh at ourselves.
