Ike Skelton died?

My digital TV has not been working, so I have not watched the news in a while.

So I was kinda surprised when KMBC news mentioned the late Ike Skelton.

17 terms in the House. I think that is too long. It's too bad he could not have retired instead of being defeated. Plus six years in the State Senate. 40 years in political office.

28 Oct 2013. They update those almost by the minute. Somebody dies their wiki page notes it within an hour or two.

Just surprised it was not noted on DU, or in my local paper.

Of course, I only get the Sunday Star, and Skelton died on a Monday.
