Montana problems, and/or facts: Please add yours

I'll start.

1.) Most days of the year, someone is splitting wood in their underwear. (Today, it was Mr. MaruKitteh.)

2.) How the hell did I end up with so much sap in my hair today? (This instance may be related to #1 in this series)

because I’m just going out to get the mail and then coming inside after an hour and a half of shoveling and moving snow and filling bird feeders/baths because I got distracted and wondering why I’m so cold.

Edited to add that after these events I usually come in without the mail...

Did you all get the wind/snow this past weekend? Trees tipping over everywhere in our neighborhood. I didn't sleep a wink on Sunday night waiting for one of ours to fall down. Guess what Maru? I'm not wearing socks in my boots either and I made it all the way to work this way.

Here’s some things I noticed related to that
-folks leave their vehicles running unattended in parking lots. One fella at the hotel left it run all night
-folks back into parking spaces in case they need service
-you pull your wiper blades up when it’s snowing so they don’t get iced in
- HEET the fuel additive is very popular
-frozen windows make it hard to post mail at the drive up boxes
-trick I learned: Park your car so the windshield gets full sun keeps your car warmer

This was a neat thing to me as I have never seen Mule Deer. Today I was scouting the back road along a river bottom. There were Whitetail deer on one side of the road and muleys on the other

So you’re in big sky country on assignment? Welcome! I saw your Green Bay avatar and figured you’ve seen your share of hard winters🥶 and this one has been a doozy. Mule deer are goofy things. They don’t hang out with white tails and vice versa and I don’t know why.

I am from Green Bay originally but am based in the South now. Travel all over for work. My last assignment was in Barrow AK. The cold don’t bother me much

Them Mule Deer like the hillsides and tops it seems and the white tails the river bottoms. Been looking around the Bears Paw Mtns.

Muleys are weird they be waaay up the hillside like far but they will stop and stare as you drive by
