Montana Shakespeare in the Parks offers free performances of classic plays

Montana Shakespeare in the Parks will give free performances of “Henry IV, Part I” and “The Merry Wives of Windsor” this summer in communities in Montana, Idaho, North Dakota, Washington and Wyoming.

The company comes to Billings July 11 - 12, performing for free each night at 6:30 p.m. at Pioneer Park as part of its season that began in June and runs through Sept. 3.

In total, the company will travel more than 7,000 miles and perform in 61 communities. All performances, except the Sweet Pea Festival in Bozeman, are free and hosted in local parks and public spaces, making them accessible to all, according to a press release.

Plays feature 11 professional actors chosen from auditions in Bozeman, Chicago, Houston, and Minneapolis.
