Related: About this forumMagats of Montana hold a convention...
I made a post from a comment I posted earlier in another thread but this is important and everybody should know this. The magats had stephen miller here this weekend to spew invective against Jon Tester. Please pay attention to the peach tree dish over here.
https://montanafreepress.org/2023/06/13/montana-republicans-made-their-plan-clear-beat-tester-take-us-senate/
At their 2023 convention, Montana Republicans made their plan clear: Beat Tester, take the U.S. Senate Trump aide Stephen Miller delivered the keynote, Don Kaltschmidt was re-elected as party chair, and Missoula delegates got the boot at a convention in their hometown. But Jon Tester was top of mind for Montana Republicans this weekend.
...Tester won his first Senate election in 2006, unseating Republican Conrad Burns, and has won a ticket back to D.C. by prevailing in close races twice since.
Along the way, hes cultivated a careful reputation as a political moderate even a conservative running in a lane independent of whichever Democratic president is at the top of the ticket. He didnt publicly support gay marriage until 2013, opposed President Joe Bidens executive order revoking the Keystone XL pipelines permit and supported Gov. Greg Gianfortes decision to end enhanced COVID-19 unemployment benefits.
...
Much of Millers speech grounded Republican abhorrence of Tester in the GOPs current embrace of policies regulating transgender health care and expression in Montana and nationwide. The Montana Legislature in 2023 passed a bill banning gender-affirming health care for transgender youth, banning drag performances in many public spaces, and defining sex in state law in a manner that critics say disempowers transgender and intersex people. Some Republicans have framed such bills as a bulwark against corruption of young people.
You think that you are going to be able to keep the transgender agenda away for another five to ten years? Its coming to Montana, its coming fast, Miller said. And theyre going to try and drive a wedge between you and your kids and your grandkids. Im telling you whats going to happen. You are not safe here. And if you think Jon Tester is going to protect you hes not going to protect you, hes going to crucify you.
LOTS MORE at the link, long article that tells you a lot.
DNCC and other national groups, do you see this?

(4,328 posts)1. The DNCC has let us down before...
... a couple of times. I am not sure we can ever count on them DNCC.
The whole lot of our so called leaders need a lightning bolt of humility with a dash of old fashioned human decency thrown in for good measure.

I just don't know what to say or do anymore. I'm concerned for my safety if I speak up which is what is the intended result of their brutality.
