MontanaFair breaking attendance records with night shows, outpacing total revenue from past years

BILLINGS -- MetraPark’s MontanaFair is off to a strong start, with its three night shows breaking attendance records.

Total revenue for the first four days of MontanaFair, which began Aug. 12, also is going strong, exceeding the total revenues of the past four fairs.

MontanaFair runs through Saturday and is the state’s biggest event. Revenue raised from the fair helps support MetraPark’s operations.

Total night show revenue is $396,825, up from last year’s revenue of $259,271, said MetraPark Comptroller Kelly Campbell at a meeting of Yellowstone County officials, MetraPark staff and advisory board members and fair officials Tuesday.
