The state has agreed to settle an inmate's federal lawsuit alleging two nurses in the medical clinic at the Lincoln Correctional Center ignored symptoms that he was having a heart attack in 2015.

Aron Boyd-Nicholson, 44, will get $115,000, according to the Nebraska Attorney General's office, which represented the nurses.

On Aug. 11, 2015, he became dizzy while folding laundry, collapsed in his cell and was taken to the medical clinic, where he complained of chest pains, sweating, dizziness and feeling weak.
