The Nye County Sheriffs Office said it received a call Tuesday morning requesting deputies respond to the area of Gamebird and South Blagg roads for a cell tower down on the ground.
Upon arrival deputies discovered that the cell tower had been vandalized and had been knocked to the ground, the Sheriffs Office said on social media.

An apparent act of vandalism in Pahrump has prompted a multi-agency investigation that includes county and federal officials.
As stated in a Nye County Sheriffs Office video news release, deputies were dispatched to the area of Blagg and Gamebird roads on the morning of May 5 for a report of a felled cell tower.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered that the cell tower had been vandalized, and had been knocked to the ground, the release stated. Nye County Sheriffs Office detectives are conducting an investigation in coordination with the Joint Terrorism Task Forces and the FBI.
According to the FBIs website, the Joint Terrorism Task Forces are locally-based multi-agency partnerships between various federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies tasked with investigating terrorism and terrorism-related crimes, led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Department of Justice.
No other details have been released about the towers destruction.
American Tower, the company that owns the more than 350-foot cell phone tower in Pahrump, now spread across the desert floor, is planning to rebuild the tower once authorities finish with their investigation.

In early April, arsonists upped their attacks on phone masts in the UK.
Phone masts in Birmingham, Liverpool, and Belfast were damaged in arson attacks in early April. Not all the masts were necessarily 5G towers.
While it's not yet absolutely certain what motivated these specific attacks, the mayor of Liverpool said he had received threats after condemning the 5G/coronavirus theory, and the Irish News reported that in footage of the mast being set on fire voices could be heard saying "f**k 5G

A 382-foot American Tower Corp. guyed tower collapsed early Tuesday morning in Nye County, Nevada, according to the Nye County Sheriffs Office (NCSO).
Authorities said the tower fell just before sunrise at approximately 5:00 a.m and the NCSO believes that vandals may have been responsible for the structures failure.
An investigation has been launched by the FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force.
It appears from photographs available from the scene that a guy wire on the north outer anchor might have been cut. At the time of the collapse winds were less than two miles per hour.
Verizon was the primary tenant on the structure located in Pahrump off of West Siesta Rd. near the intersection of South Blagg Rd., that was collocated with multiple other communications companies including Rise Broadband.
The structure was erected in 1998.
NCSO Captain David Boruchowtiz informed Wireless Estimator that there have been some initial leads, one of them being a report of a red vehicle leaving the area.
Anyone who has information regarding the collapse is asked to call 775-751-7000 or email sheriff@co.nye.nv.us .
