SPOTLIGHT RACE: Shannon Chandley for NH-SD11

Shannon has lived in Amherst for nearly two decades with her husband of over 30 years, Tom Silvia. Shannon and Tom are proud parents of four: James, Isaiah, Elizabeth and Eamon.

Currently in her second term in the Senate, Shannon represents the communities of Merrimack, Amherst, Milford, and Wilton while serving as a member of the Commerce and Judiciary Committees. As a Senator, Shannon has had a sharp focus on the local issues affecting communities in the district, leading the charge on efforts to improve and safen RT 101, address the PFAS contamination crisis, and to eliminate the Merrimack tolls.

Before being elected to the Senate, Shannon served three terms in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, where she chaired the Committee on Resources, Recreation and Development.

Throughout her time in public service, Shannon has been a steadfast champion for reproductive freedom, public education, and building a thriving, main street economy for communities all over New Hampshire.
