We're not all RW nutjobs here in NH - Keene Sentinel Endorses Huntsman

KEENE, N.H. (AP) -- New Hampshire's Keene Sentinel is endorsing Jon Huntsman for the Republican nomination for president.

A Sentinel editorial published Sunday says the former Utah governor and ambassador merits support from Republicans and independents voting in the first-in-the-nation primary Jan. 10.

The editorial says Huntsman displays boldness in economic policy that belies his temperate personal demeanor, and believes that the country's divisions cannot be closed by forcibly moving in only one direction.

Huntsman is the only one in the race - imo - who is a 'regular' Republican, what we nowadays call middle-of-the-road. I never thought a regular Republican could look so attractive as a candidate. Of course I won't vote for him over Obama, but it would be nice if the Obama alternative wasn't Armageddon.

Huntsman is the sane one, he should do well in an open primary state like NH, but..... Motown_Johnny Dec 2011 #4

It would be better if the (D)s in NH crossed over to vote for someone like Paul. Huntsman doesn't have any real chance in closed primary states. It would be more damaging to Romney if Paul gets more support and maybe even goes rogue and runs as a 3rd party candidate after he is embarrassed at the convention.
