Deep Borehole drilling for nuke waste research in southern NM

South of Alamogordo a research project to allow a deep borehole for research in feasibility for nuclear waste disposal or storage, high-level or low-level is being discussed in Otero County. Not just the purpose, but also I want to know about the chemicals in drilling, potential poisoning of our water, monitoring, ...where to begin?!!

drop a few of these deep boreholes into the top of Mount Fuji to store all the radioactive waste generated by the Fukushima disaster...

But to the point, this type of project should never be allowed anywhere, ever. Wasn't there a proposal to store nuclear waste deep in a mountain in Nevada?

As long as we have these power plants, we are going to have to deal with the waste... too bad we can't just launch that stuff into the sun...

maybe someone will figure out that we can't build more...and instead, rely on solar and renewables.
