GOP twists Lujan-Grisham's words

This appears to be a NM GOP press release published in the online Grant County Beat:

Democrat candidate Michelle Lujan Grisham unmasked her motives for her bid for Governor, and it's not to better the future of New Mexicans. Lujan Grisham told the Washington, D.C.-based Politico she wants to be governor for one very specific reason: controlling the redistricting process, which would allow her to consolidate political power but wouldn't do much for New Mexicans who want to find a job and make sure their kids receive a high-quality education.

What she said, according to Politico:
‘It’s a good partnership to have folks who have federal experience, have relationships here but can be the governor of their states so they don’t execute some of these federal changes in a way that harms their citizens,’ said Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D-N.M.), who announced in December that she would run for governor in 2018. ‘And you would be in charge of redistricting.’”

Italics mine. In other words, try to block destructive legislation coming out of DC. And a little redistricting wouldn't hurt, considering that we ended up with Pearce. The release even quotes the Politico article, but bases their response on one word.
