Three months in jail - with pay?

MDC guard convicted of DWI accused of showing up drunk to probation office

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - An MDC (Metropolitan Detention Center) guard convicted of driving drunk is headed to jail, after being accused of showing up drunk to a meeting with his probation officer.

Manuel Becerra was originally released on probation following his DWI arrest back in September. However, after officials say he drove drunk to his probation office and failed a breathalyzer test, Judge Edward Benavidez ordered him into custody.

He's set to stay locked up for nearly three months.

Becerra is still a guard with MDC on paid administrative leave.
