first day of early voting in New Mexico... no sign of vigilantes at the polls, pretty much a steady stream of voters..
straight Democratic... but the straight ticket option is no longer included each office must be voted separately.. nevertheless we are now one Democratic voter richer in New Mexico..

(19 posts)Took along my daughter and son-in-law, so 3 more votes in the hopper for Obama! The polling place was crowded with a line out the door when I arrived and remained that way till I left. Everyone was smiling, pleasant and friendly, so I am sure they were all Democrats.

(7,658 posts)no line at all. Montgomery near Wyoming. No vigilantes; nor much of anyone else either but polls look good here for Congress , Senate and President.

(7,658 posts)And after decades of Domenici, it's been nice to have both Udall and Bingaman. I thought Heather Wilson was going to be very tough to beat. I've seen her debate in person (vs. Richard Romero) and she's slick and smart and pretty damn good at presenting herself as a moderate (which in the context of today's wack-job repub party, I suppose she is by default), so I've been pleasantly surprised to see Heinrich hold a good steady lead in the polls.
