The Roswell airport has received a federal grant that will help boost planned renovations.
The Carlsbad Current-Argus reports that the Roswell International Air Center has been awarded $9 million by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The funds will go toward the third phase of a four-phase project to bolster 5,000 feet of runway.
U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich announced the grant earlier in the week in a news release.

(1,016 posts)Why are they not protesting government spending? Because they want money but they do not want any one else to get federal dollars. Complaining about FEMA money going to other states, but when a disaster hits, first ones in the FEMA line.

(113,130 posts)than Florida does because they have to be capable of researching an area. But yes, they're largely military, meaning they've got theirs, they're wrapped in the flag, and to hell with everybody else.
