WARREN COUNTY, N.Y. (NEWS10) Warren County Health Services has set three COVID-19 vaccine clinics for different parts of the county next week, targeting areas where residents may not have been able to access vaccines previously.
All three clinics are offering doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine.
Monday, July 19, from 4-5 p.m. at Tannery Pond Community Center in North Creek
Wednesday, July 21, from 5-7 p.m. at the City Park bandstand in Glens Falls during the weekly Take a Bite food festival
Friday, July 23, from 5-7 p.m. at Horicon Town Hall in Brant Lake, during the communitys Food Truck Friday event
All three clinics are available for anyone ages 12 and up, with no appointment needed.
Warren County sets up the clinics as coronavirus cases see a new spike. As of Friday, the county was monitoring 23 active cases, compared to five cases the week before.

(158,524 posts)was invited by a doctor to talk about the vaccine, when he was just passing by a clinic......it worked, he'll be getting his second shot this week.....I think the unvaccinated who are not Trump humpers can be reasoned with

(221,180 posts)Pharmacies, pharmacies in grocery stores, Walmart, a large state run site in the old Sears store at the local mall - which has neon signs and arrows inviting passersby on the main road to stop in. And many of those now take walk-ins. I had to drive about 20 miles south to a pharmacy where I could get an appointment when I got mine. In the beginning, the only options were to drive across the entire state - and I have a friend who teaches who did exactly that.
But it is possible that those in more rural parts of the county may just not have gotten around to "going into town," so I think this is an excellent idea, I hope to see more of it since cases have obviously increased greatly again - even here. And this county is only at 64% vaccinated, though it's doing better to those to the south and west - even here in New York.

(221,180 posts)And when I went to pick up my prescription at the pharmacy last week, I asked the woman who's always friendly with me if people were still coming in to be vaccinated and she said they were. They have a sign outside and take walk-ins there, so I just had to ask...
