The PBR starts the tour every year at the Madison Square Garden on the first weekend in January.
CBS used to run an hour of programming on the Sunday afternoon of the event on their over-the-air network. Not this year.

If you thought the cowboy way could only be appreciated in the likes of the West, then its time you visited Madison Square Garden for the PBR Monster Energy Buck-Off event between January 68, 2023. Thats when the Monster Energy Buck Off goes full throttle in New York, New York. This event is part of the Unleash the Beast Tour where dozens of the top PBR cowboys in the country will be competing for a chance to win the event and earn money to get them another step closer to the PBR World Finals at the end of the year.

The breathtaking action begins at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, January 6, with the fierce professional bull riders competition continuing at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, and again at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, January 8. In addition to all of the bull riding action, there are usually autograph signing opportunities to make sure to keep an eye our for updates on where those will be.

Professional bull rider Daylon Swearingen rode into a press event at Madison Square Garden on a laid-back bull named Gus. It was certainly a calmer ride than he is used to in competitions on the Professional Bull Riders circuit. ... Last year, the 23-year-old from Western New York was the first rider from the Empire State to be crowned champion of the PBR, the 30-year-old Professional Bull Riders tour. He watched his first PBR event as a kid at the worlds most famous arena. ... Its really cool, it kind of starts the year off, and no better place to do it but here, there is so much history in this building, my goals were always to be here, said Swearingen.
