Rep. Tenney Introduces Bill Preventing Colleges From Continuing To Impose COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates

Republican New York Rep. Claudia Tenney introduced legislation Thursday that would prevent colleges and universities from continuing to impose COVID-19 vaccine mandates on students who want to attend classes.

The Daily Caller first obtained the legislation, which is titled the Ending Vaccine Mandates for Colleges and Universities Act. The bill would specifically restrict access to federal higher education funds for institutions that continue to impose vaccine mandates on their students.

“The decision to receive the COVID vaccine is between a student and their doctor, not their university or the government,” Tenney told the Caller before introducing the legislation.

“President Biden has said it himself; the pandemic is over. Now it is time for colleges and universities to lift the mandates, as other institutions have done. Whether a young adult receives the vaccine should not impact their ability to access educational opportunities. It is time to end all unscientific and unconstitutional vaccine mandates, including those that remain in effect on our college students,” Tenney added.

I know a couple with two college aged kids, when Covid hit, the daughter was an upperclassman and the son was just entering college - and they both kept being sent home. What kind of college experience is that - no labs, no discussions, no concerts - virtual learning is not a college experience.

Plus, a friend of mine returned to college a few years back (before the pandemic) and she was required to get the MMR vaccine before she could attend classes. And I can actually remember getting vaccine shots right in school, lots of the kids did.
