Beaufort Co. NAACP identifies Election Day misprint in local senior center newsletter

WASHINGTON, N.C. (WITN) -With 50 days until the election, community organizations across eastern Carolina are continuing to urge voters to head to the polls this November.

The Beaufort County NAACP is one of those organizations, and when they learned that a local senior center’s newsletter had shared the wrong Election Day, they knew they had to step in.

Rev. Aaron Lewis and his team at the Beaufort County NAACP got together Sunday to pen a letter addressing a misprint in Grace Martin Harwell Senior Center’s August/September 2024 newsletter.

The newsletter, which was posted online and shared with members of the senior center back in July, marked Election Day as November 10.
