BLM Art in downtown Raleigh

If you are near downtown Raleigh and can make a trip this weekend to see some of the art that has been painted on plywood covering windows smashed by rioters after protests, do it. The plywood is starting to come down.

I did a walk the other night to shoot some photos and have posted a thread

but come see it yourself if you can. Fayetteville, Hargett, Wilmington, Blount at Martin Streets are where the art I've photographed is located.

And an article in the News & Observer about the art

I wrote a letter to the Mayor's office yesterday asking that the art be preserved and eventually displayed. This morning I received a response from a representative in the Mayor's office that said, indeed, the Downtown Raleigh Alliance and the Dix Park Conservancy are working together to that end! Hurray!
