Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted wants the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to keep its hands off the state's voting process, despite concerns about possible disruptions to this year's election.
That's because he doesn't want to hand over control of of Ohio's election to the federal government.
The federal government has a lot of mission creep when it comes to elections in the country, Husted said today in a press call with reporters.
He is calling on Congress to establish a law prohibiting the homeland security department from defining election equipment as "critical infratructure" that theoretically could be taken over in an emergency.

(25,111 posts)when they do everything the damn opposite and continue to blame others (Dems) while their base suck it up. We need the fairness doctrine back in full force which undoubtingly would forever close the doors to all the effed up corporate media and hate radio.
Purging 200 thousand mostly Dem voters is not an Christian act.

Anyone questioning this becomes suspect in my mind.
