Powell man faces charges in Columbus State gun incident
An 18-year-old Powell man faces charges after pulling a gun on a student in a hallway on the Columbus State Community College campus on Wednesday, according to school police.
Police say Deandre Kenterrious Lamarrion McClarin, who is not a Columbus State student, is due in court on Friday on charges of inducing panic, having a weapon under disability, carrying a concealed weapon, aggravated menacing and assault.
McClarin was waiting outside a classroom for a student who was taking a test in the Technology and Learning building, police said in an affidavit.
When the student walked out of the classroom, McClarin pulled a gun from his pocket, according to the affidavit.
