with a population of 229,642 has 375 cases of COVID-19 and 31 deaths. Mahoning county has more COVID-19 cases and deaths
per capata than any county in Ohio. They have more than the more urban counties like Cuyahoga (Cleveland), Franklin (Columbus)
or Hamilton (Cincinnati). Has there been any explanation why there is so many cases in that area? That is almost an 8.3% casualty rate.

There are several covered there. The town is poor, old, and right on a major intestate. Most people there still work for a living, even in this, and see more exposure that way.

Cities are using different metrics for reporting cases and some may be inclined to do what they can to keep the number of cases and deaths low. Trump would certainly want it done that way. Access to testing and the volume of testing being done would also impact the outcomes for cases and deaths.
