A Euclid police officer has been indicted on several charges by a Cuyahoga County grand jury including attempted rape.
Officer Donald Ivory, 47, is facing charges of second-degree felony attempted rape, one count of third-degree felony intimidation of a crime victim, one count of third-degree felony tampering with evidence, three counts of fourth-degree felony gross sexual imposition and one count of fifth-degree felony disseminating material harmful to juveniles.
According to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutors office, the juvenile victim contacted the Euclid Police Department Nov. 8, 2020 to file a report of sexual assault that occurred a few months prior. Between Aug. 15-31, Ivory allegedly sexually assaulted the victim in the bedroom of his Euclid home while off-duty.
After the assault occurred and became known, he allegedly threatened to take the victim to the juvenile detention center if she did not give up her phone, which contained evidence.

(23,271 posts)Its just one follows the law and the other breaks it. But when a cop gets too full of themselves they can easily become lawbreakers.

(447 posts)Over the last few years, Cleveland & Euclid have had incidents of behaviour with police. Other neighbouring municipalities too, it is rare for police to be held accountable. Even if they are removed from the force, arbitration and other hearings bring them back.
