I just emailed a message to the Ohio Democratic Party

As follows;
to the Ohio Democratic Party at info@ohiodems.org

Did the Party have a strategy to get out the vote in Democratic leaning counties?
If so, I saw no evidence of it. I’m not talking about pretty colorful Party slates being mailed. I’m talking about serious effort in each Democratic leaning county, starting in January 2022, to inform and educate and put to rest the lies of the lessor, but way more strategic, GOP.
How many more votes in each of the Democratic leaning counties were need to pull Tim Ryan across the finish line?  They were there. There were plenty of votes left on the table. Did the Party ask for them?  Did the Party put in Herculean effort to get them?
It takes strategic vision, plans and effort to support deserving candidates.

But the main problem that prominent Democrats did not give him broad support. My Democratic friends said this, too.

Ohio put Obama over the top in his first election. He needed his help.

When so few % points make the difference…. Democrats must know they did not do enough.

I felt WI was written off way too soon. Maybe not written off at all.

Same as I felt during the Walker recall
Same as I felt in 2016.

If for the last 10 years or so, Dems lose state wide election after election—is there even a Party?

If one wants to be paid for their product then one has to sell, do marketing, reach out.
As far as I can see Ohio does not have a full functioning Party.

I know some of them. Mike DeWine and his gang, cheated, stole went over the Supreme Court, used illegal maps. Appointed themselves to the bi partison committee.

I have never seen the corruption this bad in Ohio. Our only hope is that JD Vance cares as much as he says and works with Democrats the way Portman does.

Ny were bombarded by robo calls, all about crime. Sadly, they didn't want to hear about th good thing pres Biden, and dems have done. They said all their neighbors talked about was crime, inflation, and illegal immigrants. They mainly got emails asking for money, fr dems

compared to 2010 but we still have miles to go before we get there

A neighboring precinct chair called me the morning after to discuss what we can do to recruit more PCs in our State House District, and raise the turnout rate across the district.

We both worked harder than we have in prior years; both of our precincts are dependably blue but turnout could improve. Had all of our precincts had chairs to help motivate voters we might not have an "Election Integrity" wacko as our incoming County Judge. The man is crazy.

Beto nearly killed himself in 2018 and again this year hitting all 254 of our counties. He drew great enthusiastic crowds and showed up at early voting sites all over the state, especially colleges. The fact remains that we did not turn out enough voters state wide, especially in our metropolitan counties to offset the guns, god and gays voters. If our voters had turned out on election day at the same percentages as early voting, it would be a different story.

Turnout is the key here. We often say that Texas is not a red state; it is a non voting state
