One of my neighbor friends called me last night. She asked me if I still had my signs, so I told her about them being moved or flat. She told me that someone stole their Harris Walz sign from their garden lot on the street. And boy, then she went off on traitor! I listened, not fully taking in how much she loathes him. I went out after we talked and dumped blue chalk dust around the signs. If someone trespasses, they will get blue chalk on their shoes.
I woke up this morning and checked the signs. As I made coffee, it dawned on me how eye-opening the conversation was. I think my neighbor is very moderate, probably leans r. We don't talk about politcs, so I never knew for sure. Anyway, if my neighbor friend and her husband support Harris Walz, it is terrific!

Or maybe you're having a problem with skunks and raccoons, so there are spring traps in your yard...or a tiger pit.
Oh, the possibilities.

(19,112 posts)They were cracked in the carton, so I didn't use them (on the bottom of course, so I didn't see the damage) I thought I'd crack them, dilute with water and fertilize my yeard
Skunk oil is another thought.
I also checked into getting a sound activated alarm. I saw one that has sirens and gunshots lol But I want to scare humans, not wildlife.

(43 posts)several weeks until it was stolen. So I put out 3 more, but this time, I sprayed the back of the signs with coconut oil and then sprinkled cayenne pepper on them.
On another note, I made a point to vote yesterday, the first day of early voting in Texas. To my delight, I had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes in a line 50 yards long. Ive never seen this in the 35 years Ive lived here. 🤗

(19,112 posts)I read on here that one person put trimmings from their rose bushes around the borders of their signs.
We shouldn't have to do this, but we are finding non-lethal tools to protect our property.

(30,842 posts)and I only had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes.
There were 4 clerks signing people in, and about
20 voting machines.
It was not bad at all.

(175 posts)To really get them, put some pure Capsacin around the edge. Use gloves to apply. Then, when they grab the sign, they won't know anything is wrong at first until the burning begins. If they rub their eyes or anything before they notice, ooooooh mama, they will be in a world of hurt.
