host for the Oklahoma group. The group... that means you... need to approve me as the host.
So if you approve, please post in this thread. Thanks, Nancy
ADDED:
THIS was posted in Dec of 2011 when DU3 was first started... I have been the host for a while!! LOL
It's really sweet to get the new messages though.

From Skinner:
If you want to serve as a Host of a particular Group, the first thing you need to do is post in that group to let the members of that group know you are interested in serving as the Host. If a consensus is reached and you are chosen for the job, then -- and only then -- you can report back to this thread and let me know.

(41,832 posts)I'm sure, but what I'd really like to do is try to bring things of interest to the group.
I sure would like for everyone to post things about your community. And of course politics, such as it is.

(1 post)I am new to this forum and I don't mind at all if you are the host of this OK group. Way to take on the responsibility.
I would like to talk about a dream I have of the Walmart in my town being BOYCOTTED and eventually shut down due to lack of business. People I have spoken to about this have scoffed as though it is a "pipe dream" but I think anything is possible with the backing of a strong American public. I haven't stepped foot in a Walmart store for a little over a year. I don't intend to ever step foot in there until it is a vacant building on the side of the highway that we can utilize to the benefit of this town for real. I intend to inspire my town to instead shop at local stores. Information handed out to the public tends to be overlooked. Any ideas to spread my message would be appreciated. Thank you.

Everyone can if they want.
We can gripe about our politicians, and praise the great people here.
