the Voters' Guide -- how important is it to you?

for me, the voters' guide is a major part of the social contract as we practice it in Oregon, and the candidate's statement is a prerequisite for my support. if a candidate doesn't put a statement in the guide, that's an automatic disqualifier, i simply won't vote for him/her.

except for the weird little "precinct committeeperson vote for five" side ballot, where there's usually only 1 or 2 names listed that i don't recognize at all anyway. i'll write in all kinds of madness there.

the ballot measures -- i use the for/against arguments more than the text of the measure itself. if the only people supporting a measure are from Sizemore's crew, that tells me most of what i need to know right there.
