Just got back from Portland trip

Oh my god, it was so nice up there! (I'm in SoCal). The weather was perfect for me to walk in, even in the rain. I feel better and can exercise more when it's cold. It never gets cold here anymore

I stayed in a little house in Sellwood, by 11th and Lexington. I didn't have a car, so I just walked in the neighborhood for hours. I ate at Jade and Grand Central Bakery, so good!

I'd like to come visit again next year, and I'm wondering if there's another neighborhood you guys could recommend, just for a change of scenery. I need quiet, easy to walk, close to cafes and food, park(s), like Sellwood I suppose. I'm in my 50s and not interested in the hip 'hoods like the Pearl.

You have a special city, you lucky people!

I was just there and stayed in an Airbnb in the historic Irvington District near the Lloyd District.

The Pearl District is also really nice...Powell Book Store!!
