https://dpo.org/summit/I wish I could go but I really can't afford it and also have a sick family member.

(84,385 posts)Our little subgroup is kick-ass! We actually do stuff, from peaceful corner poster protests to larger events. We have our weekly Call to Action emails with issues laid out that you can call your reps about, and more! And we have a zoom call every Monday evening.
Highly recommended if theres a group near you! VERY satisfying. Really makes you feel like youre actually DOING something!

(84,385 posts)I went to an event last night that included Act for Democracy, the Clackamas Dems, Democratic Socialists of America, and a couple of other like-minded and climate-minded groups. I didnt do a head count but a guesstimate might be 30-35 people in a small-to medium-size meeting room. Ill have to look at the photos. Three clusters of chairs, every seat taken, and a few standing at the back and along one side.
MOST interesting, and relevant, and you meet new people. AND you hear more perspectives outside your own particular circle but still on the same page.
