Man makes threats towards Temple University while buying ammo at Walmart: DA

While buying ammunition at Walmart, a Northampton County man made violent threats towards Temple University, and now, he is facing charges of terroristic threats and harassment, investigators say.

Patrick J. Buhler, 29, who has addresses in Morrisville and Mount Bethel, was charged after the July 31 incident at the Walmart store in Tullytown.

According to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, the incident occurred like this:

While buying five boxes of .223 ammunition, a store employee heard Buhler talking to a customer about security at Temple University and asking about the campus police department’s response time.

Buhler noted he was buying this type of ammunition because he knows police wear body armor.
