This seat (a chunk of new CD 15) is probably not flippable for Dems, but you never know.
With Turzai also retiring, this leaves Senate majority leader Jake Corman, R-Centre, as the top Republican in the state legislature.

(22,964 posts)not flippable. We dont even have a candidate running for the House. That means another two years of GT Thompson who will have this seat for life.
glad to see him go. Hopefully we get someone better ( I know halfway decent and sane Republicans are very hard to find) than him if our side doesn't win.

(22,964 posts)Ill see if shes heard anything yet about who might run for Scarnattis seat. I am so disgusted with Thompson. I call his offices often. Hes too much of a coward to hold a town hall (other than on the phone). There was one on Monday. I lasted five minutes.

(740 posts)if Thompson would decided it was time to retire also. No much chance for a pickup for us but one can always hope.

(16,303 posts)so this is a state senate seat, but still pretty unlikely to flip.
