There are STILL gop supporters all over, though. Two of my neighbors put up tRump/Pence signs just last week. I was shocked about one of them, not so much the other one. How can anyone with an I.Q above room temperature support this dolt and his little boot licker? EVERYTHING tRump does goes sour.

That is why they support him, he targets the people they hate and they don't care if "the other" dies, in fact some of them actually cheer this. They are so stupid, they think it won't affect them, they are good Christians after all. Stupid, ignorant, deluded, deplorable asses is all these jerks are. Sadly, there are far too many of these anti-American asses around.

... can't certain counties (and cities) opt to remain locked down? I'm in Pittsburgh and I'm pretty certain our Mayor will keep things locked down as long as necessary. Also I'm sure Philly + metro areas will want to do the same.

However I do recognize that there are several rural counties that probably have little danger because the population is spread far enough apart. As long as people know how and when to take precautions, it's probably safe to end the quarantine in those rural counties. There are many states that have a similar situation - large populations living close together are still needing to be extra careful, while the rest of the state has barely noticed.

We have plenty of stores open now. I have been to Lowes to get sealer for a leak in my basement. I go grocery shopping. There are enough places open like drive through restaurants. What more does this bill do than is being done now? My eye doctor called me 10 minutes ago and asked if I was diabetic or needed to keep my next weeks appointment. I told them I am doing fine so they pushed back my appointment to July. What kind of games are these politicians playing?

Most grocery stores are taking very extreme precautions; limiting the number of people in the store, providing sanitized carts, putting lines on the floor to keep 6 feet away, sanitizing the check out belt after every customer. Not all grocery stores are doing that but some are.

... not that I go out much but I have been able to shop for necessities without a problem.

I have no doubt it's politically motivated, they just want to flip the bird to Governor Wolf.

Democrats get most of the votes every year and less seats.

I can't believe the right is still downplaying this virus, IMO it is worse than people imagine.

I live in a county in Pa. that has no cases, but being a rural county I doubt that many people have been tested. I wear my mask when I go shopping, it is amazing how many people do not. I do live in a precinct that voted for Trump 6 to 1.

There is no way we can beat this virus without massive testing, I mean millions of tests per day, at least millions per week.

The number of coronavirus cases in Pennsylvania is plateauing overall, but the rate of infection continues to increase in state nursing homes.

"Nursing homes and other long-term care living facilities remain of significant concern to us," said Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine.

As of Wednesday afternoon, there were 3,316 positive COVID-19 cases among residents in 297 long-term care facilities in Pennsylvania. Those facilities include both nursing homes and personal care homes.

I have relatives who work at nursing homes. Conditions are dire. Many of these nursing homes that are overrun are in rural areas.
