Pennsylvania voters sign their mailing envelope with pen and ink, and it's our current signature as it looks now in October/November 2020.

However the archived signature that will be used to "verify" the current signature ... I need to know where that's coming from? In many cases it's coming from the PennDot Drivers License archive and I haven't provided an updated signature for several years. The last few times that I did provide my signature to PennDot (for DL identification) I had to "sign" a computer screen that made my signature into a digitized mess. I protested the use of that digital signature because IT DIDN'T LOOK ANYTHING LIKE MY SIGNATURE!

They made me sign that little screen over and over again, and none looked like my real signature. After 9 or 10 tries, and I gave up got a drivers license but I never used it for my ID. I always have shown my U.S. Passport for ID because it has a correct up-to-date signature and photo.

I'm assuming that anytime the County Election Board needs to verify my signature, they're going to refer to my *totally useless* signature on file with PennDot. Every other voter should assume the same, unless you don't have a PA Drivers License. On that basis, The Election Board ID verifiers would probably reject up to 50% of the mailed ballots. It's unacceptable, and the system would be ripe for abuse. The Supreme Court made the correct decision.
