Former Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway is joining the gubernatorial campaign of state Sen. Jake Corman. Conway, Donald Trumps campaign manager in 2016 and later senior counsel for the president, will work for the campaign as a pollster and special adviser, the Corman campaign said in an announcement Friday.
Kellyanne Conway is a proven winner whos ready to help Republicans take back the governors office here in Pennsylvania, Corman said. Her experience in communications and polling is second-to-none. Kellyanne knows what it takes to win tough campaigns, and were excited to have her on our team. Conway praised Corman as a strong principled leader who will restore personal freedoms and create jobs [and] expand educational opportunities.
Conway is the first woman to run a successful presidential campaign and was one of the longest tenured high level members of the Trump administration. During her three years in the White House Conway developed a reputation as a fierce protector of President Trump, drawing criticism for staunchly defending Trumps falsehoods, most infamously explaining that Trump officials used alternative facts.
Last month, Cormans campaign brought on Poolhouse, the creative agency that produced TV, radio and digital ads for Virginia Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin.
Corman is one of at least 15 Republicans seeking the nomination for governor.

The five freedoms it protects: speech, religion, press, assembly, and the right to petition the government. Together, these five guaranteed freedoms make the people of the United States of America the freest in the world.
Before agreeing to accept the Constitution, the Founders of our democratic republic demanded that these freedoms be protected by an amendment to the original document the First Amendment.

(22,972 posts)I recall Kellyanne saying after the 2016 election that she knew the minute she saw Hillary hugging Jay-Z and Beyonce onstage that Trump just won Pennsylvania.
I'm afraid Pennsylvania is ripe for a campaign based on divisiveness, and Kellyanne is the go-to consultant on that.
