Pa. clothing-optional campground co-owner arrested in Miami on charges he sexually assaulted a child
The co-owner of a clothing optional campground in the Poconos was arrested in Miami Monday on an out-of-state warrant that alleges he sexually assaulted a child in New Jersey in 2012, according to reports.
Patrick Gremling, 54, is accused of assaulting the child in Ocean City, New Jersey in 2012, according to the report. It said that Gremling, of Jim Thorpe, is the co-owner of The Woods Camping Resort, whose website identifies it as a membership-only LGBTQIA+, clothing optional camping resort.
The Woods is located in Lehighton.
According to the report, the charges, which were filed by New Jerseys Little Egg Harbor Police Department on Jan. 24, came two weeks after Gremling was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police for allegedly assaulting a middle schooler at The Woods in 2011. It said that both sets of charges stem from separate incidents that involved the same child. The New Jersey warrant, however, comes after the alleged victim told police there that an assault occurred following a Fourth of July event in Little Egg Harbor.
The alleged victim reportedly told authorities that Gremling told them congratulations after he had finished with that assault.
