First off, yard signs don't vote so those sightings should always be taken with a grain of salt.
Butler County in western Pennsylvania has a +27% GOP voter registration advantage.
In past election years, seeing a sign for a Democratic candidate in Butler County was a rarity. Not this year!
I continue to see yard signs for Democratic candidates (Josh Shapiro for governor, John Fetterman for Senate, and Dan Pastore for Congress) appear where I have never seen signs for Democratic candidates in the past. The locations for GOP yard signs are where they normally appear in every election year. I keep telling everyone that there is enthusiasm for the Democratic candidates (at least in Pennsylvania). There is zero enthusiasm for the GOP candidates except among hardcore Republicans. GOTV!

(9,167 posts)Only recently did the RWNJ get their free Jen Keegans yard signs. Interesting that all the Elaine Luria signs appeared battered but unbroken. Foreshadowing?

(1,013 posts)I have cheapskate neighbors who would never pay. Suddenly they and other communities have the GOP contenders signs sprouting up within a day or two of each other. I don't think they all just got it in their heads to have yard signs at the same time. I surmise they were given to them, maybe at a rally.
Luria signs are fewer but the ones on the roads have all been bashed, dented but are still standing. The keegan signs along the same roads have not been kicked at.
The sad part is that these roads feed into the Master Jet Naval station, although it could be kids on bikes too.

(6,797 posts)They usually are everywhere. Maybe people don't want anyone to know they voted for a traitor who stormed the Capitol.

(1,013 posts)Again, yard signs don't vote but if there is a deficiency in the amount of Republican signs across the country as compared to most election years that definitely means something.
No one can say for sure what the election will bring next week but if the Democrats pull off a big win the lack of GOP yard signs was a harbinger of things to come.
