New York and New Jersey have already made recreational marijuana legal for adult use, and Maryland has just approved the same for their residents. So we're neighboring states that have already permitted the "whacky weed." I believe Pennsylvania is next, and it could happen very soon.

But then again, we ARE talking about the PENNSYLVANIA legislators, aren't we......

(35,690 posts)But the way it was set up is kind of divisive, and it discriminates against poor people IMHO. So we need to look around at how our neighboring states are handling this, and perhaps follow their lead.
You know it's really a racist issue, that's what it boils down to. The marijuana laws were used to bust the Blacks and keep them in jail (unfairly) for a long time. That has to stop.
