couldn't there be a better nickname? I know a guy who sells used cars, a former student, who goes to the ends of the earth to find the right car for a person and who is (and I know from experience) an honest individual. My concern is this smears people who aren't dealing in dangerous cars.

9. The manufacturers foot the bill for recall repairs!

I've owned cars where I got recall notices, taken them to the dealership and not paid a penny for the work. The dealership.is reimbursed by the manufacturer. I think recalls can be completed in conjunction with state inspections, too.
