New Central Bucks school board has authorized a legal challenge of the former superintendent’s $700,000 payout
The Democrat-led board also voted to suspend the library and advocacy policies, as well as a policy banning transgender students from participating in sports aligned with their gender identities.

The new Democrat-controlled Central Bucks school board moved quickly Monday to roll back some of its GOP-led predecessors’ most controversial actions — from suspending policies restricting library books to authorizing potential legal action into the former superintendent’s $700,000 payout.
What shape the new board’s actions will ultimately take isn’t yet clear. The board’s new solicitor, for instance, said earlier Monday that he needed to learn more about the separation agreement reached between the prior board and now-resigned superintendent Abram Lucabaugh before pursuing a lawsuit.
But the crowd that lined up outside the Central Bucks administrative building to witness the swearing-in of new members Monday was ready to celebrate regardless — cheering new leadership after what numerous speakers described as two years of “chaos,” bookended by highly contentious, big-money elections.
Republicans who cemented their majority in 2021 enacted bans on teacher “advocacy” in classrooms — including the display of Pride flags — and “sexualized content” in library books, and faced a federal complaint alleging the district had discriminated against LGBTQ students. But Democrats swept the Nov. 7 school board elections — as they did in a number of area districts where culture-war issues had dominated debate.

Am still gushing over people in Bucks County finally waking up to the GOP poison in their county and putting common sense Democrats back into office. This whole 2-year saga there really shows how the average person isn't "into politics" until it punches them in their faces as that astroturf "Moms (hate) for Liberty" did there.
I think one of the elected (D)s basically said (paraphrase) -"The School Board isn't here to run the District but to make sure it is 'well-running'".
This needs to happen county-wide and that means getting rid of Brian Fitzpatrick (R) (PA-1).

I still think it's that people aren't registered nor voting in general. The city always gets blamed for "turnout" but there have been a few articles about suburban voters finally waking up and actually participating (with the article thrust often done as yet another way to insult and slam the city to compare while showing their cognitive disconnect of mentioning actual increasing turnouts in the low-turnout 'burbs, but I won't go there 
).
Believe me, many people throughout PA are following these issues there, especially the ‘probably illegal’ agreement for the deposed Superintendent.
You’d like to believe that there is still some belief in the law and legal procedures.

START from the BOTTOM - school boards, local councils, county, then state. Look where that got us - the MAGA's and tRump having control of SO much - even if they do NOT represent the MAJORITY!
Going into 2024 we HAVE to realize what EACH and EVERY vote for EVERY OFFICE means! We cannot play games with the numbers - between close elections and, of course, the electoral college, we don't dare let up for a moment. EVERY VOTE COUNTS!!!!

and we are slowly clawing back our state, county, and municipal offices. The lessons of 2010 and redistricting, were finally learned when it came time to get ready for the 2020 redistricting. Little by little we are recapturing and then digging in. Still have work to do but we're getting there!
