Two children of Easton City Council member Taiba Sultana are accused of vandalizing a sign opposing her state House candidacy.
Sultana confirmed Thursday that two of her sons, ages 12 and 11, are accused of damaging the sign one of several placed by PA Citizens PAC, a political action committee funded by attorney Raymond Lahoud.
Easton police would not release the names of the children but confirmed a state trooper on Wednesday afternoon saw two juveniles spray-painting the sign at Lafayette Street and Bushkill Drive.
The incident is under investigation and no charges have been filed, Capt. Salvatore Crisafulli said.

(12,817 posts)(and shenanigans) were so benign, relatively innocent, and easily addressed.
An 11 and 12 year old - would seem to barely qualify as news. (and almost certainly says nothing about candidate, or campaign?)

(12,817 posts)on the other hand - what also concerns is the shear hate and invective that runs through the 'comments' posts in the blogspot that you link. A lot of this stuff is clearly flat out racist and toxic.
So, again - I would hazard that there 'problems' in this district that greatly outstrip a 12 yr old with a spray can. And it would seem to me that the real 'news' perhaps lies elsewhere.
(And now that you have me going - charging a 19 yr old for 'corrupting the morals' of a minor - for her 'non-actions' in the incident - doesn't seem just a bit over the top? - and perhaps just maybe tinged with political motivation as well? It might be that Sultana as a candidate is somebody I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole - but there's also a rather nasty undercurrent going on in this 'campaign', both political and otherwise, that has me holding my nose as well.)
