Warwick priest: A vote for Clinton would put 'immortal soul' in peril

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Rev. Robert L. Marciano did not just bring his disdain for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to the pulpit, he told his parishioners at St. Kevin Roman Catholic Church in Warwick that: "GOD approves this message!"

"Let’s be clear," Father Marciano told his flock on Oct. 16. "She, her party, and her leaders (including the current administration of these past eight years) hate us. They hate Catholics. ... They hate everything that we stand for and the virtues and values that we hold as sacred."

"I am no fan of Mr. Trump and the recent media firestorm over his inappropriate and vulgar words is reprehensible," the priest said. "But he is not running for pope!''

And "I cannot vote for Mrs. Clinton since my immortal soul would be in peril by cooperating in the destruction of innocent human life,'' he said.

But that's acceptable according to the RCC, apparently. It all comes down to abortion with the RCC.

Again, I'll say it: I cannot understand how an entire society of single, celibate men are in a position of authority over marriage, sexuality and parenthood when they have zero experience in these areas by profession.

positions.

How can you be all or nothing with anyone on everything? Especially any religion, which operates on symbolism and plays on peoples' fears of the unknown. There's very little substance with Christianity. It's alot of faith. It's a lot of "It's believed to be this." Or, "Some people think..." Or, "It's interpreted that..."

stop trying to control every personal decision people face.

Agree with you, bulloney -- there are not many things out there that are all or nothing. Nearly everything that happens with us humans occurs on a spectrum. It's rarely all or nothing.
