Rhode Island's fake Democrats

Rhode Island is known for being one of the most loyal states to the Democratic party. We always give the Democratic presidential nominee's one of their best showings, our Democratic Senators are always re-elected by comfortable margins, our two reps usually coast through re-election and both chambers of our state legislature have Democratic supermajorities.

That's where our problem lies. We are a one party state therefore EVERYONE who runs for office in this state runs as a Democrat, regardless of their beliefs. And Rhode Islanders are so loyal to the Democratic party that they vote for whoever has the D next to their name, regardless of what their actual beliefs are. Sometimes they get a primary challenge. In Woonsocket, one of the state's most conservative Democrats in the General Assembly was defeated in the September primary. Usually, however, they don't.

RI Democrats need to make the general public aware that many of our state's Democrats are DINOs. A good place to start is to call out the 14 Democrats in the General Assembly who voted against marriage equality. I know in Woonsocket all three of their reps voted against the bill and the public should be made aware of this.

why not legislate commissars, it has worked so well in the past.....

Or you could assume the people know who they are voting for, figure out why the districts electing the Dino's are choosing to do so and have the state party decide if they want to fund and assist candidates in those districts.

God help me, i suspect you actually are seriously thinking about truly going the commissar route...
