Brown University music director claims racial bias in 2017 firing

PROVIDENCE — A former Brown University Orchestra music director who was let go in 2017 has filed a discrimination complaint against the university with the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights.

Brown, who at the time of his firing told The Providence Journal that he was unable to comment, said he now wants his side of the story be heard.
