There was a 3.4 very early Sunday morning. It was the first time in my life that I had ever felt an earthquake. This morning, there was a 3.5 which arrived at the same time time as some serious thunder, so I didn't notice it. Just a few minutes ago, there was an aftershock, which made my whole house shake for about three seconds.

(14,658 posts)Down here in the south and central, Fla we know when a hurricane is coming. Hide from the wind and run from the water or just leave. YMMV

They were scary indeed. Fortunately they only lasted seconds, so it wasn't too bad.
Usually, SC's problem is hurricanes too. I find it kind of silly that I get regular warnings to find my evacuation route so I can be prepared. I looked once. It turns out that I live where the coastal people evacuate to
