Nice article in Huffington Post about the University of the South. I have to say that Sewanee is beautiful. When my daughter went to camp near there, she wanted to move there. One of her friends, at twelve years old, had a checking account at a local bank. Every business all over town honored this girl's checks. That is the kind of a place it was then.

1. Sewanee sucks ass

Sorry, but if you ask most of the locals around here, they will tell you the place is a cesspool of 1% assholes who treat the local Appalachian population like crap.

Are there nice people there? Sure. A few.

But the place has so many ugly, dark secrets you wouldn't believe them all.

If you don't believe me, do a google search for students' opinions about their experiences. Nearly all of them disparage the poor locals while doing "glorious work" helping people in poverty everywhere else in the world.

The wealthy students like to dress up as the poor locals for fun, to mock people in poverty. Real "heaven." Just what the fuck Jesus would do.

I have seen this place destroy people's lives for NOTHING. Just because they can. They are sickening, self-absorbed pigs, in my opinion.

All the lives they have destroyed are enough to make anyone weep.

2. They love Barbara Bush as well

Gave her an honorary degree a few years ago.

This action reveals their attitude better than anything I could add.
