It felt so good to vote for Joe Biden, Marquita Bradshaw, and Jim Cooper!

I was initially planning to vote by mail due to the pandemic but then decided that too many things had the potential to go wrong (including me somehow screwing up my ballot accidentally). I voted early in person. The process was efficient and there were numerous stations for signing in and voting, so no waiting. I had driven by the poll on the first voting day and the first Saturday but didn't go in because there were long lines, but "the third time was the charm." For those planning to vote in person, I strongly encourage doing it early if at all possible. Remember, we had a devastating tornado the night before the March primary, and numerous polling precincts were closed due to electrical outages and/or blocked roads. Freaky things have been known to happen! GOTV like your life depends on it...this time it does!

I had to go down to Tennessee two summers ago to drop my son off for his Oak Ridge internship. It's a beautiful state.

It appears though that the Knoxville area is pretty Republican, at least from what I read. My son told me that the people he worked with were politically liberal, but they were scientists, probably a bit of a bubble in that district.

I did notice that in my son's apartment complex there was a guy with a huge Trump flag covering his window. It was a little odd, because the very nice woman who owns the complex and rents to student interns was Chinese.

I'd guess that Ms. Bradshaw doesn't have much of a chance; or else we would have heard more of her here.

I have a good friend over in the Science forum who's from Alabama. He says it is now possible that Doug Jones might win.

Fingers crossed!!!!

as well as other candidates.
I am glad I went early, and in person.
I just don't feel that confident so far with the mail-in ballot. I wish we had ballot drop boxes.
